Manley's "Platinum Series" forged pistons feature "contour forgings" that provide the optimum balance between strength and weight with no grain interrupting internal milling. Proprietary multi-step top ring groove machining process assures optimum control of the groove's size (1.5mm, 1.5mm, 3.0mm), geometry, flatness and finish. All final turning is performed in one fixture resulting in complete squareness of rings to cylinder wall. Precision pinhole machining results in an exact compression distance as well as precise lock groove spacing, size and concentricity. Sets of 8.
